Kara Angela Cassisi Ms. Kara Angela Cassisi, 23 of Lewiston passed away tragically in an automobile accident on April 30, 2012. She was born on May 17, 1988 to Russell and Renee (Rustile) Cassisi in Royal Oak, MI. She moved to Lewiston from Clarkston five years ago. She was in the process of finishing her degree as a physical therapist assistant and was taking classes at Kirtland Community College. She was also in the Army Reserves and earned awards for her marksmanship and served as squad leader. As a young girl, she enjoyed girl scouts, volunteering to help autistic children during school. She was always very athletic and artistic, having many of her works of art displayed in Lansing and Clarkston. She enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing, both of which eventually drew her to move up north to Lewiston. She liked karaoke and was known for having the biggest heart. Above everything, she enjoyed time spent with family and friends. She is survived by her parents, Renee Rustile of Clarkston; Russell Cassisi of Lewiston; sister, Krista Cassisi of Mt. Pleasant; grandparents, Ben (Sandy) Cassisi of Atlanta, and many aunts, uncles and cousins in West Virginia. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of her life on Friday, May 11, 2012, 6 PM at Green Funeral Home, Lewiston, MI; Father Lawrence Sergott officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to the Green Funeral Home. The family has suggested memorials to the Elk Country Animal Shelter.
