Kandice Dennis

Mrs. Kandice Lee Dennis, 72 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on the early morning of June 1, 2020. She was born in Dearborn, Michigan on February 9, 1948 to the late, Herbert and Lillian (McDermitt) Greaves. She married her husband, Daniel Dennis, on January 11, 1969 and together they celebrated 51 years of marriage before her passing. Kandy worked as a dental assistant for 15 years while living in Dearborn and also owned and operated Mr. D's Pizza in Dearborn Heights for five years. Having owned property in the Lewiston area since 1990, her and Dan moved to the area permanently four years ago. Aside from her work, Kandy loved gardening and received the Master Gardner Certificate from Michigan State University. She loved her flower garden and her home. Above all, she valued the time she spent with her grandchildren and family. She will be deeply missed.

Kandy is survived by her loving husband, Dan Dennis of Lewiston; son, Matthew Dennis of Lewiston; daughter, Amy Woods of Dearborn; two grandchildren, Maddy and Mason; brothers, Herbert (Tam) Greaves of Saline; Patrick (Angie) Greaves of Farmington; and sister, Linda (Mike) Lukiewski of Livonia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Lillian Greaves; and infant daughter, Jennifer.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Kandy privately at this time.
