June G. Miller June G. Miller, 88, of Atlanta, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2006 at the Back Home Adult Foster Care Home in Lachine, MI. She was born on February 25, 1918 to Lester and Jessie (Baker) Berridge in Hillsdale, MI. June married Kenneth Miller on September 25, 1938 in Toledo, OH. She was a graduate of Royal Oak High School, and worked as a medical assistant. Mrs Miller was an avid reader. She and her husband used to spend their retirement winters in Arizona and summers here in northern Michigan. June is survived by her son, David (Marilyn) Miller of Rogers City, MI; daughter, Joanne (Joe) Galvin of Bloomfield Hills, MI; four grandchildren, Kevin (Miwako) Galvin of Tokyo, Japan, Julie (Doug) Heasley of Farmington, MI, Shannon Galvin of Chicago, IL, and Marc Miller of Sacremento, CA; and a great grandson, Josiah Galvin of Tokyo. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will take place at a later date. The family has suggested memorials to Hospice of Michigan of Alpena, or to Alpena Regional Medical Center.
