Julia Jeanette Theis Mrs. Julia Jeanette Theis, 89 of Lewiston, Michigan passed away on April 16, 2014 at Otsego Memorial Hospital. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 25, 1924 to the late, Leslie and Gizella (Ritz) Smith. She has lived in Lewiston since the 1980s, formerly of Taylor. Julia loved children and enjoyed to dress and act as a clown entertaining children at schools, hospitals, and children's events. She loved all of God's creations and was a nature enthusiast, feeling strongly about protecting the environment and nurturing others. She enjoyed planting flowers, walks outside in nature, and loved to learn about new things that interested her, while also teaching her children things along the way. She also had a fondness for her dog, "Bucky" who passed away last year. Julia was truly a woman that was in love with life for just last year on Christmas Eve she was videotaped dancing with her walker. She was not only a mother, but a friend to her children and couldn't have been a better mom to them. She will be missed dearly. She is survived by daughters, Sandra Benson of Bloomfield Hills; Sue (Rick) Good of Taylor; Jackie (Bill) Litogot of Taylor; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and cousin and caregiver, Maria Reene. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Gizella Smith; husband, Ervin "Jack" Theis; son-in-law, Marty; and dog, Bucky. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned for Mrs. Theis at this time.
