Judith Johnson

Judith Ellen Johnson Mrs. Judith Ellen Johnson, 64 of Lewiston passed away on May 13, 2012 at home with loved ones by her side. She was born on December 30, 1947 in Duluth, MN to Charles and Helen (Carlson) Ness. She married husband, Ronald Johnson on August 26, 1967 in Duluth, MN and together they had three children. They moved to Lewiston in 2001 from Wixom. She was an active member at the Lewiston United Congregational Church and participated in the choir as well as being the church clerk. She was a member of the Lewiston Lioness Lions Club, Lewiston Historical Society, Friends of the Lewiston Library, the Lewiston Garden Club, Beta Sigma Phi, and was also involved in Hospice of Michigan where she ran a local Lewiston grief support group for the last three years. In her free time, she enjoyed golfing and bowling. She was a great cook with a big family and especially liked to cook beef roast. She touched people anywhere she went and above all, enjoyed her time spent with her children and grandchildren, above all else she loved being a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Johnson of Lewiston; sons, Brad (Pam) Johnson of Canton, MI; Chris (Lori) Johnson of Germantown, TN; daughter, Angie (Matthew) McKenzie of Canton; grandchildren, Kelsey, Courtney, Mason, Lilly, Brycen, Tyler; mother, Helen Ness of Duluth, MN; brother, Chuck (Jane) Ness of Duluth, MN; and sister, Sharon (Jeff) Cullen of Fairfax, VA. Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 12:00PM at the Lewiston United Congregational Church, Lewiston, MI; Pastor Dave Engel officiating. Visitation will take place on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 4:00PM-8:00PM at the church. The family has asked that donations be made to Hospice of MI, Gaylord.
