Joyce Lyons

Mrs. Joyce Ann Lyons, 83 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully at Medilodge of Hillman on August 27, 2022. She was born in Howell, Michigan on June 6, 1939 to the late, Frederick and Gladys (McCarthy) Holderness. She was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by her husband, Dean. Joyce and Dean were married at their home in Howell on June 5, 1958 and together the couple would go on to celebrate 51 years of marriage before Dean’s passing in November of 2009. Joyce was an animal lover and adored both horses and dogs. She liked reading her Bible, canning and used to garden in her younger years. She is and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children, Lori Blouin of Westland; Charles (Terry) Lyons of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; grandchildren, Jessica, David, Ashley, Daniel, and Trisha; and great-grandchildren, Alexis, Felix, Ryan, Kenny, Savannah, Reef, Tessa, Ella, Olivia, Alex, Emmerson, Elyanna, and Hunter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Gladys Holderness; husband, Dean Lyons; son, Richard; and brother, John.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Joyce privately at this time.
