Joyce Brooks

Joyce E. Brooks Joyce Elaine Brooks, 66, of Atlanta, passed away on July 10, 2010 at her home after a three year battle with cancer. She was born on July 18, 1943 in Goodwin, MI, the daughter of Burrell and Marian (Austin) Williams. She married Lawrence Brooks on November 20, 1963 at Big Rock Congregational Church in Atlanta. She enjoyed working jig saw puzzles and reading mystery novels. She liked to go to garage sales and enjoyed fishing. Joyce is survived by her husband, Lawrence of Atlanta, MI; children, Audrey (Pete) Rhoades and Cheryl (Jeffery Riddle) Rhoades of Lewiston, MI, Brenda (Frank) Ketchum and Jessica Brooks of Atlanta, MI, Jennifer Brooks of Mio, MI, and Lawrence (Linda) Brooks Jr of Vanderbilt, MI; grandchildren, Monica Palmer, Edwin Palmer Jr, Daniel Palmer, Adelia Brooks, Amanda Rhoades, Christopher Profrock, Laura Brooks, Lawrence Brooks III; and one great grandchild, Cameron Gould. As were her wishes, medical donation has taken place and there are no services for Mrs Brooks planned at this time.
