Joseph Sacka Jr.

Joseph Richard Sacka, Jr. Mr. Joseph Richard Sacka, Jr. 77 of Hillman, Michigan died on March 16, 2015 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born to the late Joseph and Mary (Marchel) Sacka Sr. on September 21, 1937 in Wyandotte, Michigan. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps. Joseph made a career out of carpentry and worked for 35 years before retiring with Brincal Contractors out of Detroit in 1993. Formerly from Taylor, he has lived in Hillman for the last 20+ years. He enjoyed being outdoors; watching his pond at home, fishing, hunting, and four wheeling. He also liked trips to the casino. Above everything, Joseph dearly loved his family and he will be missed by them all. He is survived by his loving wife, Cherie Sacka of Hillman; son, Jeff (Barbara) Sacka of Allen Park; daughters, Sue Molnar of Canton; Brenda (Charley) Johnson of Taylor; Debbie (Phillip) Dowling of Taylor; grandchildren, Amber, Nick, Jon, April, Mariah, Heather; great-grandchildren, Steven Jr, and Holden; sister, Teri Kaminski of Wyandotte. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Sacka; and granddaughter, Payton. As were his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of his life at a later date.
