Joseph Edward Remus Joseph Edward Remus, 73, of Atlanta, passed away on November 28, 2010 at his residence. He was born on June 25, 1937 to Edward and Lucille (Ostrowski) Remus in Belleville, MI. He married MarRita Roulo on November 9 1963 in Belleville, MI. Joe served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from Draw-Tite in 1999. In 2001, he fulfilled his dream of retiring to Atlanta, MI. He was and avid hunter and fisherman, and was currently serving as the president of the Austin Hunt Club. He leaves behind family and many friends that he loved and shared his passion for the woods and animals. Joseph is survived by his wife, MarRita of Atlanta, MI; five children, Jill (Mark) Kuty of Allen Park, MI, Linda Remus of Atlanta, MI, Pamela (Mark) Burger of Belleville, MI, Christopher (Kathi) Remus of Belleville, MI, and Anthony "T.J." remus of Ypsilanti, MI; 10 grandchildren, Robin, Tom, Joshua, eric, Emily, Lauren, Alissa, Jay, Jaiden, and Easton; and three sisters, Irene Krokowiak, Louise Singer, and Mary Ann Gasser all of Belleville, MI. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Dorow and a sister Elaine Remus. Funeral services for Mr Remus will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI, Pastor Roger Steele officiating. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-9 PM at the funeral home. Memorials have been suggested to Hospice of Michigan, Alpena.
