Joseph George Love Mr. Joseph George Love, 67 of Atlanta, Michigan died suddenly on June 11, 2018 at his home. He was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan on November 4, 1950 to the late, William and Virginia (Horn) Love. He married his wife, Ella (Bortles) Love in Milan on April 24, 1981 and together the couple celebrated 35 years of marriage before Ella's passing in September of 2016. Joseph resided in Atlanta for the last 24 years, formerly of Milan. He worked as a custodian for Milan Area Schools for 15 years and also worked at Wal-Mart of Gaylord and Alpena where he assembled bikes and mowers for display. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Atlanta and enjoyed hunting and fishing. His children and grandchildren were very important to him, as well as his dogs, Lulu and Molly. Joseph will be dearly missed. He is survived by his sons, Matthew Barnier of Belleville; Joseph (Hali) Love of Milan; daughters, Jamie Tokarski of Ann Arbor; Lisa Barnier of Whitmore Lake; Kim (Scott) Gordon of Whitmore Lake; Kathy-Jo (Mike) Sampson of South Lyon; Angie Brooks of Milan; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Virginia Love; wife, Ella; and sisters, Vickie Gunaca; Bonnie Love; and Rose Castle. As were his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of his life at a later date.
