Joseph Beard

Joseph Gerald Beard Mr. Joseph Gerald Beard, 74 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at his home with his loving wife at his side on the early morning of April 9, 2016. He was born to the late, Joseph and Irene (Merningham) Beard on November 29, 1941 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Joseph married his wife, Naudine (Myers) Beard on August 24, 1985 in Saline and together the couple celebrated 30 years of marriage before his passing. He worked for Ford Motor Company as a lab technician at the Dearborn Research and Development Plant for 29 years before retiring. Joseph and Naudine moved to Lewiston 14 years ago, formerly from Ypsilanti. He was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed working on cars, and had a passion for guns. Above everything, Joseph enjoyed his time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Naudine Beard of Lewiston; sons, Joseph (Alexa) Beard of Charlevoix; David Beard of Ypsilanti; Kevin (Michelle) Beard of Tennessee; stepdaughter, Christine Hunter of Saline; seven grandchildren; one special great-grandchild; brother, Roy (Shirley) Beard of Kentucky; and special friend, Mike Vachon of Lewiston. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Irene Beard. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are currently no services scheduled for Mr. Beard at this time.
