John Lewis Vote John Lewis Vote, 80, of Lewiston, was promoted to heaven on February 18, 2008. He was born on November 14, 1927 to Erwin and Grace (VanNess) Vote in Allegan, MI. John retired from Rockwell International after 30 yrs of service. He has lived in Lewiston for the past 10 yrs formerly of Mesick. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lewiston, he loved God and his church family with all his heart. He was a born again Christian at age 71, and enjoyed his time as an usher at the church. He liked to fish and hunt. John was a man of integrity and enjoyed gospel music. He loved to spend time on his property. John is survived by his wife, Daisy of Lewiston, MI; daughters, Barbra LeDuc of Lizabethton, TN, and Marjorie (Scott) Pride of Allegan, MI; step daughter Mary Vote of Kalamazoo, MI; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Howard, and a sister June Pickett. Funeral services for Mr Vote will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Lewiston, MI, Pastor Don Evilsizer officiating. Visitation hours were held on Friday. Interment will take place at Mallory Cemetery in Allegan, MI.
