John Villalpando Mr. John Villalpando, 88 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully on October 26, 2017 at MediLodge of Hillman. He was born in Hidalgo, Texas on March 28, 1929 to the late, Victor and Felipe Villalpando. John has resided in Atlanta for the last 25 years, formerly of Detroit. He retired from Great Lakes Steel where he worked for 30+ years as a pipe fitter. He moved up north to hunt and fish as they were two of his favorite passions. He enjoyed playing guitar at home and for various churches in the area. Family was important to John and he cherished his time spent with them. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his sons, Victor Villalpando of Taylor; John Villalpando of Ecorse; daughters, Theresa (Bob) Hamilton of Grandville; Dolores (Jacob) Gutierrez of Cibolo, Texas; Linda (Rod) Flannigan of Gaylord; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Lupe Villalpando of Romeo; and sister, Esther Mata of Capac. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Felipe Villalpando; wife, Teresa; and brothers, Costello, Nick, and George. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are currently no services scheduled for Mr. Villalpando.
