Mr. John "JV" Duane Vaughan, 69 of Lewiston, Michigan died suddenly on May 5, 2020 at his home. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 28, 1950 to the late, Kenneth and Helen (Crouch) Vaughan. He was a proud veteran and served his country in the United States Marine Corps. JV married his wife, Diane (Stabnau) Vaughan on November 4, 1970 in Inkster and together they celebrated 48 years of marriage before his passing. Formerly of Garden City, the couple have resided in Lewiston for the last 15 years. JV was retired from Ford Motor Company Wayne Assembly Plant where he worked in production for 38 years. He enjoyed bowling and participated on many leagues and was proud to have scored a 300 game. He liked to collect sports cards and play slots at the casino. In his younger years, JV played and coached softball. JV loved his wife, his time spent with family and friends, and was considered to be kind, gracious, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be dearly missed.
JV is survived by his loving wife, Diane Vaughan of Lewiston; daughter, Kelly White of Phoenix, Arizona; and granddaughter, Tara. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Helen Vaughan; and brother, Terry.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember JV privately at this time.
