John Streiff

Mr. John Frederick Streiff, 79 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully on August 5, 2020 while surrounded by his family. He was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan on January 9, 1941 to the late, Jack and Johanna (Lux) Streiff. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War aboard both the USS Bonhomme Richard and the USS Aludra. On September 16, 1966 in Rochester Hills he married his wife, Clara Sue (Crisp) Streiff and together the couple celebrated 53 years of marriage before John's passing. They have resided in Atlanta for the last 22 years. John had a variety of hobbies that he enjoyed doing including boating, flying model airplanes, and snowmobiling when he was younger. He loved animals and adored his two dogs, Bonnie and Scooby. Most importantly, John valued the time he spent with his family and he will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Clara Sue of Atlanta; son, Jay Streiff of Atlanta; and grandchildren, Jeffery and Jorja. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Johanna Streiff; twin sister, Judith; and an infant son, Jeffery Scott Streiff.

In accordance with John's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember him privately at this time.
