John Ray Savitsky Mr. John Ray Savitsky, 66 of Atlanta died on April 26, 2012 at Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord, MI. He was born on December 7, 1945 to John and Julia (Gillen) Savitsky in Detroit, MI. He lived in Atlanta for the last twenty-five years and was a retired tool and die maker for thirty plus years, last working at Kneeland Industries in Mio. He served his country in the U.S. Army and fought during Vietnam. John was a member of the NRA and enjoyed trapping, being outdoors fishing, and restoring old tractors and guns. Above all he enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Mark) Bowen of Atlanta; grandchildren, Mark, Ryan, and Samantha; brother, Jerry Savitsky of Milford, MI; and sisters, Dorothy (Jim) Lowe of Redford, MI; and Ceil (Bud) Yates of Macomb, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie, and a sister. Internment services were held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Briley Twp Cemetery.
