John Rukenbrod Jr.

John Kneila Rukenbrod, Jr. John Kneila Rukenbrod, Jr., 85, of Atlanta, MI, passed away on March 15, 2014 at his son's home in Columbiaville, MI. He was born on August 22, 1928 to John Sr. and Ruby (Vankoughnet) Rukenbrod in Detroit, MI. He married the former Barbara Baxter on July 28, 1965 in Troy, MI. He retired from Ford Motor Co, after 22 years of service. He moved to Atlanta in 1989 formerly of Royal Oak, MI. He was a member of the Atlanta Eagles and the Lewiston Moose Lodge. He loved socializing with friends, especially to play a game of horseshoes or cards, or to shoot a game of pool. John is survived by sons, Kirk (Becky) Rukenbrod of Hale; William (Debbie) Rukenbrod of Columbiaville; Thomas Rukenbrod of Reno, NV; daughters, Liz (George) Westfall of Waterford; Kim (John) Berstraete of East Pointe; Sharon Rukenbrod of Madison Heights; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there was a memorial gathering for Mr Rukenbrod at the Atlanta Eagles on Friday, March 21, 2014.
