John Nash

John Sidney Nash John Sidney Nash, 74, of Atlanta, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2007 at Sally's Adult Foster Care Home in Alpena. He was born on March 26, 1933 to Whalen and Ruth (Krauss) in St Louis, MI. He married the former Myrna Trombley on December 6, 1958 in Detroit, MI. Mr. Nash retired in 1992 from Sperry Vickers Co in Troy, MI, where he worked as a computer programmer for many years. He was a life member of the VFW Post 4659 in Disco, MI. He was a member of the Shriners and the Scottish Rites Masonic Lodge in the Valley of Detroit. He was also a member of the Atlanta Eagles 4077. John used to golf, but his passion was for bowling. Above all else he loved his wife and his family. Mr. Nash is survived by his wife, Myrna; three daughters, Sandra (Pat) Minton of Katy, TX, Brenda (Michael) Jessop of Waterford, MI, and Denise (Joe) Reese of Tullahoma, TN; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Pat Coop. Funeral services for Mr. Nash will be held on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 11:00 p.m., at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI, Pastor Jared Okoth officiating. Visitation hours will be held on Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family has suggested memorial contributions to Hospice of the Sunrise Shore, 109 N Second Ave, Alpena, MI 49707.
