John Paul Green John Paul Green, 52, of Atlanta, MI, passed away at his residence on March 15, 2008. He was born on February 28, 1956 to William and Marilyn (Carlson) Green in Pontiac, MI. He has lived in Atlanta for the past 16 yrs formerly of Ypsilanti, MI. He was a member of the Laborers Union Local 1098, Saginaw, MI. While in Atlanta, he worked putting in the Natural Gas lines for Davis Excavating and Infrasource; in maintenance at Garland Resort; and spent four years helping to dismantle the Big Rock Nuclear Plant in Petoskey. He was very active in AA all over northern Michigan. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was an avid bowler. John is survived by his son, John Jr, and daughter Jeannette, of Ypsilanti; father, William (Pauline) Green of Rutherfordton, NC; and brothers, William and Earl Green. He was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22, at 11:00 a.m. at the Green Funeral Home, Lewiston, MI. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to the AA in John's Memory.
