John "Butch" Stacy Finley Mr. John "Butch" Stacy Finley, 71 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully in his home on October 20, 2015. He was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on November 4, 1943 the son of Rolla and Mercedes (Gerany) Finley, and was raised by his adoptive parents, Bob and Avis Binder in Whittemore Lake, MI. He married his wife, Suzanne (Sametinger) Finley on April 10, 1965 in Whittemore Lake. The couple moved to Atlanta four years ago from Englewood, Florida having vacationed here since 1952. He worked as a master electrician for 25 years with the L.U. 252 Electrician's Union of Ypsilanti. He was a member of the Lions Club in Stockbridge and also various car clubs over the years, especially antiques. He loved to tinker on his old cars and hot rods. Above everything, he enjoyed his time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Finley of Atlanta; sons, Michael (Tina) Finley of Clarksville, Tennessee; Matthew (Stacey) Finley of Redford; daughter, Maryann (T.J.) Nottingham of Stockbridge; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Gerry Finley of Medesto, California; sisters, Jolene (Leo) Copper of Medford, Oregon; Christina Gillana of Williamsport, Pennsylvania; and Patricia (Daniel) Nuranjo of Aromas, California. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial mass in celebration of his life at a later date. The family has suggested memorials to the Elk Country Animal Shelter, Atlanta, MI or to Hospice of Michigan.
