John Ehlers

John Scott Ehlers Mr. John Scott Ehlers, 56 of Atlanta, Michigan passed away suddenly on September 25, 2013. He was born to John and Irma Ehlers in Pontiac, Michigan on December 10, 1956. John lived in Atlanta most of his adult life. He cut firewood for many years and was also a mechanic, working on cars and motorcycles. He was a member of the Jokers Motorcycle Club in Oscoda and he loved his Harley Davidson. He shot on pool leagues for many years. John enjoyed to be outside and liked to go ice fishing, as well as hunt. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by sons, John (Tonya) Mildern of Dayton, Ohio; Brian Ehlers of Glennie; daughters, Krystal Casteel of Atlanta; Pearl Klein of Cheboygan; grandchildren, Ira, Haley, James, Zachary, Dominic, Cameron; brother, Don Ehlers of Atlanta; sisters, Toni (Mike) Hartke of Plymouth; Denise (Geoff) Baer of Virginia; and Charlene Lannon of Waterford. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Irma Ehlers. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial gathering held in celebration of his life on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI. A luncheon will follow at the Eagles.
He is survived by sons, John (Tonya) Mildern of Dayton, Ohio; Brian Ehlers of Glennie; daughters, Krystal Casteel of Atlanta; Pearl Klein of Cheboygan; grandchildren, Ira, Haley, James, Zachary, Dominic, Cameron; brother, Don Ehlers of Atlanta; sisters, Toni (Mike) Hartke of Plymouth; Denise (Geoff) Baer of Virginia; and Charlene Lannon of Waterford.
