John Michael Denstaedt John Michael Denstaedt, 68, of Hillman, MI passed away on August 22, 2013 at his residence. He was born on May 3, 1945 to Irving and Mary (Garbis) Denstaedt in Detroit, MI. John earned his Master's Degree in Education, retiring from Clawson Schools after 33 years as a teacher. He enjoyed the outdoors, loved to hunt, especially grouse, and enjoyed fishing at Ess Lake. He enjoyed music; Rock and Roll was his favorite. John is survived by his sons, Geoff (Kristen Cable) Denstaedt of Royal Oak, MI, and Scott (Angel Qin) Denstaedt of Cleveland Heights, OH; mother, Mary Denstaedt of Traverse City, MI; sister, Nancy (Chris) Shotwell of Traverse City, MI; and former wife Linda Denstaedt of Clarkston, MI. He was preceded in death by his father, Irving. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held for Mr. Denstaedt in Clarkston, MI at Lewis E. Wint and Son Funeral Home, Sunday, August 25th, 2013 from 11 am - 2 pm. A visitation with family and friends will be held at Mr. Denstaedt's residence in Hillman, MI, Tuesday, August 27th, 2013 from 11:30 am - 1 pm.
