John Edward Champion Mr. John Edward Champion, 79 of Atlanta, Michigan passed away at home on March 29, 2013. He was born to the late James Leroy and Grade Adeline (Collins) Champion in Van Buren Township, Michigan on September 9, 1933. He married his wife, Delores (Randall) Champion in Belleville on September 19, 1959. The couple moved from Belleville to Atlanta in 1994, having owned property here since 1975. John worked for Wabash and Canadian National Rail Road for 41 years as a freight car repairman. He attended the Atlanta Bible Church. In his free time he enjoyed to play cards, especially euchre and pinochle, and also liked to hunt and fish. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Delores Champion of Atlanta; brother-in-law, Dean Sark; niece, Rebecca Beron; and nephew, Daniel Sark all of Indiana. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned for Mr. Champion at this time.
