John Brooks

Mr. John Thomas "Tom" Brooks, passed away October 3, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. He lost the fight from leukemia caused from Agent Orange in the Vietnam War. Tom was 70 years of age. After four years as a marine, Tom worked at Buick Motors in Flint and was employed for 34 years. He retired and moved here in Atlanta with his wife and son. Tom loved the up north woods and spent time hunting and just watching the wildlife. He loved NASCAR, the Detroit Lions, and spending time with his wife, Sherry and his children and grandchildren.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 34 years, Sherry; children, Cory, Alicia, Tommy, Nichol, Ryan (Kerri) stepson, Jamie; stepmother, Nancy; many grandchildren; special grand-girls, Alex, Brianna, Star, AJ, new grandson, Hunter; brother, Jerry (Mary) Brooks of Grand Blanc; and cat, Boo-Boo. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jason. He will be dearly missed.

As were his wishes cremation has taken place and the family has chosen to remember Tom privately at this time.
