Jimmie Connis

Jimmie Dale Connis Mr. Jimmie Dale Connis, 76 of Atlanta, Michigan passed away on March 4, 2014 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was born to James and Mary (Hutchison) Connis in Flint on August 14, 1937. He has lived in Atlanta for the last two years, formerly of Gladwin. Jimmie was a veteran of the United States Navy and served his country proudly for nine years, from 1956-1965. On June 15, 1974 he married wife, Alice (Gagnon) Connis and together they shared 39 years of marriage before his passing. In 1998, Jimmie retired from General Motors after 34 years of service. He volunteered on the fire department in Montrose, Michigan for ten years. He enjoyed woodworking; especially making furniture and clocks; fishing and hunting; and traveling to Florida or down south. Above all, he enjoyed his time spent with family and friends and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Alice Connis of Atlanta; son, Anthony Bunch of Atlanta; daughter, Valerie (Tom) Reynolds of Atlanta; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Connis of Niagara, Wisconsin; mother, Mary Connis of Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his son, Darren Bunch; daughter, Terri Lynn Spencer; and father, James Connis. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned for Mr. Connis at this time.

As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned for Mr. Connis at this time.
