Jerry Barker Sr.

Jerry Dean Barker, Sr. Mr. Jerry Dean Barker, Sr. 81, of Comins, died on February 19, 2015 at Wellsprings Nursing Home in Fairview, Michigan. He was born on November 19, 1933 in Mcleansboro, Illinois. Originally from Waterford, Michigan he moved to Fairview in 1997. Jerry was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 182, a Silver Star member of the Michigan Sheriff's Association, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Comins, Michigan since 2001. He also belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Waterford and Pontiac. Above everything, he enjoyed his time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed. Jerry Sr. is survived by his four children, Jerry (Karen) Barker Jr. of Atlanta; Sheryl Barker of Sandusky; Tommy Barker of Sandusky; and Joey Barker of Waterford; grandchildren, Jamie Barker; Stephanie Barker; Cyndi Foote; great-grandchildren, Christopher Fischer; and Tyler Werner. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial will be held in celebration of his life in the spring.
