Mrs. Jennavee Oesch, 92 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on May 18, 2024. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan on May 21, 1931 to the late Adrian and Mildred (Dell) Linton. On January 7, 1951 in Angola, Indiana she married her husband, Arthur and together they celebrated 68 years of marriage before his passing in 2019. The couple resided in Atlanta since 1970. Arthur owned Oesch Excavating from 1960-1993. Jennavee would drive dump trucks and farm tractors to help Arthur. He raised quarter horses and top-notch breeding stallions with the help of Jennavee. They owned the second fastest horse named “Lucks Perfection” this side of the Mississippi. They raced horses as well and were part owner of the Mt. Pleasant Racetrack. Together they also raised wild turkeys and pheasants. The couple also enjoyed trips to Canada fishing and deep-sea fishing in Florida. Jennavee was the ladies state shot gun champion and enjoyed waterskiing. Aside from her hobbies, she valued the time spent with her family and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her sons, David (Robyn) Oesch of White Lake; Thomas Oesch of Hillman; grandchildren, Jonathan (Sara), Jacob (Emily), Adrian, Kenyon, and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Norah, Elijah, Benjamin, Mia, and Lochlan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adrian and Mildred Dell; husband, Arthur; and brother, Norm Dell.
Funeral services for Jennavee will take place at noon on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at New Beginnings Ministries, Hillman. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until time of service. A luncheon will immediately follow services. Interment will take place at Avery Township Cemetery at 3:00 PM.
