Jeanne Marie Parks Jeanne Marie Parks, 69, of Atlanta, MI, passed away on March 19, 2011. She was born on November 25, 1941 to Sydney and Eva (Vickory) Cunningham in Pontiac, MI. She married John Parks on July 29, 1960 in Clarkston, MI. Jeanne has lived in Atlanta since 1980 formerly of Pontiac, MI. She started working in the State Mental Hospital then went on to do some factory work in the Pontiac area. She spent over 15 years as a clerk at the Atlanta Hardware. She was an avid reader, she would read a book a day. She enjoyed watching television, especially fond of CSIs, Criminal Minds, and NCIS. She also loved to shop and to play with her dogs. Jeanne always enjoyed spending time with her family and coloring with her grandchidlren. Jeanne is survived by her sons, John (Tina) of Sparta, WI, Steve (Kathy) of Gillette, WY, and Jay (Pam) of Martinsburg, WV; daughters, Debbie Parks of Arizona City, AZ, Lisa (David) Herbert of Hillman, MI, and Laura (Jason) Dubey of Alpena, MI; 14 grancdhildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Jay Cunningham of Atlanta, MI, and Dale (Helen) Cunningham of Ortonville, MI; and sisters, Joyce Fahr of Clarkston, MI, Joan (Tom) Swayne of Atlanta, MI, Judy (Clyde) McInitire of Flint, MI, Jill Cady of Waterford, MI, and Sharon (Matt) Pots of Eaton Rapids, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, John and brother, Sid Cunningham Jr. Funeral services for Mrs. Parks will be held on March 24, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Big Rock Church, Atlanta, MI, Pastor Keith Jones officiating. Interment will take place at Avery Twp Cemetery in the spring. Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the Big Rock Congregational Church, and again on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of service.
