Jean Clifford

Jean E. Clifford Mrs. Jean E. Clifford, 86 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully on February 5, 2019, at United Hospice Services in Marlette. She was born on January 22, 1933, in Roseville, Michigan to the late, Henry and Amy (Olsson) Hodgson. On June 11, 1954, she married her husband, Thomas Clifford and together the couple celebrated 63 years of marriage before his passing in 2017. The couple moved to Lewiston in 1992 from New Haven and spent their winters in North Port, Florida. Jean enjoyed playing euchre, bingo, exercising, going for walks and bike rides, and crafting, especially macramé chairs. Above everything she enjoyed time spent with family and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas Scott Clifford of New Haven; David Clifford of Macomb Township; Steven (Kasie) Clifford of Richmond Township; daughter, Susan (Joe) Van Pamel of Macomb Township; grandchildren, Sean, Leslie, Lindsey, Sarah, Mary, Steven; great-grandchildren, Amelia, Lillianna, Jakob, and Ella; brother, Fred Hodgson of Grand Rapids; and sister, Shirley Pelt of Roseville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Amy Hodgson; brothers, Pearson, Hank, Pete, Dutch; and sisters, Ruth Anderson and Miriam Houle.

As were her wishes cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Jean privately at this time.
