Jay Cunningham Sr

Mr. Jay M. Cunningham, 72 of Atlanta, Michigan passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer on June 18, 2022 at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alpena. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on May 2, 1950, the son of Sidney and Eva (Vickery) Cunningham. Jay was a gentle, kind and loving man and will be dearly missed by all that had the chance to know him.

Jay is survived by sons, Jay (Shawn) Cunningham; Alan Cunningham; grandsons, Cash and Cruz Cunningham; sisters, Joan (Tom) Swayne; Jill Cady; Judy (the late, Clyde) McIntire; Sharon (Matt) Potes; brother, Dale (Helen) Cunningham; and many nieces and nephews. Jay was the brother of the late, Joyce (Russell) Fahr, Sidney Cunningham, and Jeanne (John) Parks.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to celebrate Jay’s life privately, as were his wishes. Arrangements were entrusted to Green Funeral Home.
