Janice Kindret

Mrs. Janice Kindret, 68 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully surrounded by the love of her children on May 29, 2021. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 21, 1952 to the late, Estill and Alberta (Burke) Hall. She has resided in Hillman for the last 18 years and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Rust Township. Janice was a free spirited hippy and lover of rock and roll. At the age of 16 she borrowed a van and drove to Woodstock. She loved to dance and had a great sense of humor. She was always seen with a smile on her face and was welcoming to everyone she knew. Janice loved people and was always the life of the party. She loved cooking, bingo and animals, but most importantly, she loved her family! She will be deeply missed.

Janice is survived by her daughters, Toni (James) Greig of Saint Clair; Jennifer (Michael) Sochor of Port Huron; grandchildren, Holly, Zachary, and Grace Greig; and Michael, Mia, and Madison Sochor; sister, Judy (Jack) Gundersen of Redford; brother-in-law, Ron Hodgins of Traverse City; nieces and nephews, Leah, Jon, Kristin, Jack, Jenn, Ella, Jack, and Alexander; life partner, Dennis Roof of Hillman; and many cousins and friends that became family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Estill and Alberta Hall; and sister, Gloria Hodgins.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial held in celebration of her life on her birthday, June 21, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Saint Clair Lions Club in Saint Clair, Michigan.
