James Weaver

James Weaver James Weaver Jr, 76, of Atlanta, passed away at his home on March 4, 2008 following a short illness. He was born on August 13, 1931 to James Sr. and Irene (Valentine) Weaver in Briley Twp, MI. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated the Pointe Bait Shop and the Emporium in Atlanta. He was a member of the NRA and loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren. James is survived by his wife, Robin, of Atlanta, MI; sons, Steve, Jeff, and James III all of Atlanta, MI; daughters, Cindy (Tim) Platt of Allegan, MI, Heather Weaver of Arlee, MT, and Amanda (Denver) Klein of Hillman, MI; grandchildren, Ferris, Mya, Tao, Buzzy, Anola, Michael, Jeffrey, McKenna, Gunner, Bubba, Ashley, Lorinda, Melissa, Cathy, Amy, and Raymond; great granddaughter, Lexi and many other great grandchildren; brothers, Lonnie (Cathy) Weaver of Atlanta, MI, Merle (Marie) Weaver of Bellavista, AR, and John (Sherri) Weaver of Terry, MT; and sisters, Pauline (Merle) Hunt of PawPaw, MI, Kat (Mike) Zurow, of Bay City, MI, Mary Ann (Mike) Meddeford of Bay City, MI, Linda (Terry) Dishaw of Atlanta, MI, Louis (Tony) Jasienski of Bay City, MI, Ginger (Louie) Campbell of Harrisville, MI, Robin (Dan) Ashmore of Harrisville, MI, and Lilly (Brian) Brainard of Sterling Heights, MI. Funeral services for Mr. Weaver will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the Big Rock Congregational Church, Atlanta, MI, Pastor Brian Tidd officiating. Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta and again on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the Church.
