James Thompson

Mr. James Victor Thompson, 74 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully at his home with his wife at his side on March 5, 2021. He was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on May 3, 1946 to the late, LaRue and Rosalia (Voglino) Thompson. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He married his wife, Cindy (Cameron) Thompson on April 8, 1975 and together the couple celebrated 45 years of marriage before his passing. They have resided in Hillman for the last three years, formerly of Denver, Colorado. James valued the time he spent with family and friends and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Thompson of Hillman; daughter, Rebecca (Martin) Fessler of Traverse City; numerous grandchildren; brothers, Gerardo (Mary) Thompson of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; Laurence (Diane) Thompson of Ellijay, Georgia; three brother-in-laws; and four sister-in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents, LaRue and Rosalia Thompson; and sister, Jane Kinmon.

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember James privately at this time.
