James Leslie Rumph Mr. James Leslie Rumph, 57 of Lewiston, Michigan died on November 1, 2016 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was born in Fostoria, Michigan on February 2, 1959 to James and Barbara (Cox) Rumph. He married his wife, Tina (Roux) Rumph on July 12, 1986 in Lewiston and together the couple celebrated 30 years of marriage before his passing. The couple has lived in Lewiston for the last 25 years, formerly of Novi. James worked as a chef for many years at the Hotel Pontchartrain in Detroit. He also worked at Garland Golf Course and HB Tool and Carbide over the years, as well as at Vienna Auto where he worked as a service writer. James used to drag race snowmobiles and loved to fly. He was a NASCAR fan, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr and Dale Earnhardt Jr. He enjoyed boating on East Twin Lake and golfing. Above everything he enjoyed his time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Tina Rumph of Lewiston; daughters, Sarah (Steve) Brockett of Virginia; Melissa Rumph; and Amanda Rumph both of Lewiston; three grandchildren; mother, Barbara Rumph of Caro; sisters, Gail Kennely of Clifford; Emma Pavlawk of Caro; Barb (John) Malloy of Mayville; and Corinnea (Dave) Ross of Brooksville, Florida. He was preceded in death by his father, James Rumph; and son, Jason. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are currently no services scheduled for Mr. Rumph.
