James and Alice Pettibone James and Alice Pettibone passed away on October 17, 2011 and October 18 respectively. James was born on June 8, 1923 to Ole and Charlotte (LaLonde) Pettibone in Detroit, MI. Alice was born on July 27, 1918 to Sigfried and Gerda (Erickson) Nelson in Detroit as well. They married on Feb. 13, 1965 in Farmington Twp, MI. They had lived at Tee Lake for the past 40 years. James worked in the CC Camps as a young man, and then as a pipe fitter for Mich-Con, before going to GM until he retired. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was an avid golfer, having two hole-in-ones to his credit, and even worked for Garland in retirement as well. Alice worked for many years in high end clothiers in the Detroit area. She always enjoyed the finer things in life, fashion, clothes, and perfumes especially. She was an avid reader when she was able, and had a great memory, she was sharp as a tack. As were their wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services for Mr. and Mrs. Pettibone at this time.
