James Frank MacKay James Frank MacKay, 79, of Hillman, passed away on August 6, 2009 at his residence. He was born on June 27, 1930 to James and Emma (Campbell) MacKay in Flint, MI. He has lived in Hillman for the past 5 yrs formerly of Anchorage, Alaska. While in Alaska, he traveled throughout the state and ran a soup kitchen in Anchorage that served about 250 people per meal. He loved it up there. He served his country in the US Army and Navy, with 10 yrs of service between the two. He loved to fly fish and golf. Jim was proud of his 29 yrs with AA. James is survived by his sons, James MacKay of Deluth, MN, Scott MacKay of Traverse City, MI, and Michael MacKay of Gaylord, MI; daughters, Kimberlee MacKay and Connie Coffman, both of Hillman, Christy Tait of Grayling, MI, and Kathy (Sparticus) Berry of Lansing, MI; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Malcolm (Donna) MacKay of Burton, MI; and sisters, Betty Shepherd of Hillman, and Sue (Paul) Marciszewski of Grand Blanc, MI. As were his wishes, Mr MacKay cremation will take place and there are no services planned at this time
