James Willard Long Mr. James Willard Long, 71 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at Otsego Memorial Hospital on July 26, 2015. He was born in Flint, Michigan on July 11, 1944 to the late, Jess and Ada (Wiles) Long. He married wife, Gloria (Quick) Long in Davisburg, Michigan on November 12, 1979 and together the couple celebrated 35 years of marriage before his passing. James has lived in Lewiston for the last 15 years, formerly of Holly. While living in Holly, he was a member of the Moose Club and also participated in a men's bowling league. He was also a UAW member and enjoyed attending the expos they offered coming home with all the "freebies" they supplied. His hobbies included gardening, garage sales, and farming where he enjoyed to mow 6-8 acres of his property with his John Deere tractor. Above everything, he enjoyed his time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Long of Lewiston; son, Christian (Shelly) Long of Decatur, Illinois; daughters, Jennifer (Bob) Mullennix of California, Maryland; Stacey Vecsei of Fenton; stepchildren, Christina (Joseph) Mather of Kathleen, Georgia; Carl (Billie) Hillier of Norfolk, Virginia; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy Adams of Plainwell; and Candace (Glen) Mitchell of Holly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Ada Long; and brother, John Long. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are currently no services planned for Mr. Long at this time.
