James Bowerman

James Richard Bowerman Mr. James Richard Bowerman, 76, of Hillman, MI passed away on February 19, 2014 at his residence. He was born on October 16, 1937 to Harry and Blanche (Burwell)Bowerman in Owosso, MI. Jim served his country in the US Navy and went on to work many years as a mechanic. He has lived in the Hillman area since leaving the military, and was a past member of the Hillman Senior Center and the VFW Post 2356. He loved to play BINGO and used to enjoy hunting and fishing. Jim could always be found tinkering in his garage or around the house. Jim is survived by his sons, Randy Taylor of Brighton, MI, Jay (Sherry) Erickson of Plymouth, MI, and Michael Taylor of Muskegon, MI; daughters, Cindy Erickson of California, Deanna (Ray) Greene of Hillman, MI, Sue Dalpe of Stafford, VA, Sheila Hallowell of Grand Rapids, MI, Shawn (Eric) Shipp of Stafford, VA, and Joanna Whittman of Hillman, MI; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara and a daughter, Geri Lyn Bowerman As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will a memorial held in celebration of his life at 3:00PM on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Green Funeral Home; Hillman, Michigan; Pastor Roger Steele officiating. Visitation will take place from 2:00 PM until time of service.
