Irma Ehlers-Woolpert Irma Ehlers-Woolpert, 88, of Atlanta, MI, passed away on July 31, 2009 at Medilodge Nursing Home in Hillman, MI. She was born on April 14, 1921 to William and Emilie (Kerston) Boebe in Eikendorf, Germany. She has been an Atlanta resident since 1988, formerly of Mt Clemens, MI. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Order of Eastern Star 487, the Atlanta Eagles 4077 and the Up Town Girls of the Red Hat Society. She attended Atlanta Congregational Church. She enjoyed painting and golfing. She loved to spend to time with her little dog, Tashi. She was an avid gardener, and enjoyed the time outside. Irma is survived by her children, Sharlene Lannan of Holly, MI, Wayne Ehlers of Waterford, MI, and John Ehlers and Don (Sherri) Ehlers, both of Atlanta, MI; 9 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Woolpert. As were her wishes, Mrs Woolpert has been cremated and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at the Green Funeral Home at 4:00 PM, Pastor Ginny Titus officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suiggest to the Atlanta Congregational Church Baby Basket program.
