Iris Aho

Iris Lillian Aho Iris Lillian Aho, 83, of Atlanta, MI, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010 at her residence. She was born on April 3, 1926 to Thomas and Jane (Peters) McGann in Houghton, MI. She married John Aho in 1944 in Washington DC. She has lived in Atlanta since 2201 formerly of Waterford and Berkley, MI. She was a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church and a past member of Our Lady of the Lakes in Waterford and Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic churches as well. Over the years she donated much of her time to Our Lady of the Lords Nursing Home in Waterford. She loved sewing, fishing, and shopping. Iris is survived by her daughters, Pat Chaaban of Atlanta, MI, and Judith (Herb) Lundy of Dearborn Heights, MI; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John; five brothers; and three sisters. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial mass for Mrs Aho will be held later this week.
