Irene Lapointe

Irene LaPointe Mrs. Irene LaPointe, 75 of Lewiston, Michigan passed away on September 1, 2013 at Otsego Memorial Hospital with loved ones at her side. She was born in Wyandotte, Michigan to the late, Thomas and Mary (Kotvas) Sheroski on April 23, 1938. She married husband, Raymond LaPointe in 1954 and together they raised a family of five boys. Irene has lived in Lewiston since 1985, formerly of Taylor. She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the 9 Hole Golf League of Garland. She enjoyed golfing, cooking, and organizing. Above everything, she enjoyed her time spent with family and friends and will be greatly missed. She is survived by loving husband of 59 years, Raymond LaPointe of Lewiston; sons, Christopher (Janice) LaPointe of Jacksonville, Florida; Dale LaPointe of Lewiston; Gerald LaPointe of Lewiston; James (Kristine) LaPointe of Grosse Ile; Timothy (Shannon) LaPointe of Lewiston; grandchildren, Jason, Aaron, Noelle, Danielle, Dustin, Kellie, Monica, Allison, Timmy; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Paul (Rose) Sheroski of Johannesburg; George Sheroski of Inkster; Thomas (Theresa) Sheroski of Davison; Annie (Mark) Korneffel of Trenton; Virginia (Henry) LaPointe of Central Lake; William (Alberta) Sheroski of South Carolina; and Victoria (Gerald) Sieg of Gibraltar. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary Sheroski; and sisters, Mary, Verna, and Rosie. Funeral services for Mrs. LaPointe will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church; Lewiston, Michigan, Fr. Santiago Hoyumpa officiating. Visitation will take place from 9 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
