Ileen Weaver

May 31, 1934 — May 2, 2011

Ileen Marie Weaver Ileen Marie Weaver, 76 of Atlanta, passed away at her home on May 2, 2011. She was born to Roy and Margaret (Sherbonda) Brooks on May 31, 1934 in Atlanta, MI. She lived in Atlanta most all of her life, leaving briefly in her early 20's to teach school in Harbor Beach, MI and the Grand Rapids area. She married Alfred (Jake) Weaver on February 1, 1958. She was the Vienna Township Supervisor for a number of years in the 80's. Ileen enjoyed playing BINGO and scratching instant lottery tickets, watching television, playing Yahtzee and cards, watching sports on TV, especially the Detroit Tigers, and was an avid reader. She really enjoyed her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and loved to visit with the many people she knew. She was very giving, and would give the shirt off her back to make sure everyone had what he or she needed. Ileen is survived by her sons, Edward (Justine Ingersoll) Weaver of Boyne City, MI and Joseph (Beverly) Weaver of Atlanta; two daughters, Annette (Gary) Warden of Holly, MI and Michelle (Bill) Pinson of Atlanta: her grandchildren, Steven (Kaitlin) Weaver, Zachary (Amanda) Weaver, Alyssa (Lee) Talkington, Jake and Rachael Sherbonda, Mitchell Morgan, Harley Glover, Chelsey and her boyfriend, Adam Mills and Garrett Pinson, and Lillian and Thomas Ingersoll; great-grandchildren Trevor, Hannah, Elijah, Danielle and Trinity; brothers, Lawrence and Richard of Atlanta, and Gail; sisters Rose (Douglas) Cheedie of Atlanta, and Kay Ann, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Her husband Jake; her mother and father, Roy and Margaret; her brothers, Clayton, Jim, Bob and Jerry, and a sister, Joyce Wood, preceded her in death. As were her wishes, Ileen has been cremated. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 5 at 11 a.m. at the Atlanta Bible Church with Pastor Roger Steele officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service, with a luncheon following immediately afterward. Arrangements were handled by Green Funeral Home, Atlanta. Condolence messages can be sent via our website, www.greenfuneralhomes.com.
