Herbert Peltier

Herbert J. Peltier Mr. Herbert J. Peltier, 62 of Herron, Michigan died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on May 2, 2017. He was born to the late, Herbert and Freida (Emerick) Peltier on June 19, 1954 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. He has resided in Herron for the last 18 years, formerly of Brownstown Township. Herbert graduated from Atlanta High School in 1973 and worked as a contractor installing cable television for many years. He was third in command at B&M Ashman. Herbert enjoyed a variety of hobbies and he loved to be outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed mushroom picking and canoeing. He had a love for hot rods and working with his hands and restored a 1956 Chevy. Aside from work and his hobbies, Herbert's number one priority was his wife and his family and the time spent with them. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jaqueline Peltier of Herron; son, Earl Lloyd of Gladwin; grandchildren, Jazmin and Cameron; brothers, Donald (Cindy) Peltier of Herron; Walter (Bonnie) Peltier of Alberta; sisters, Deanna Whitt of Peoria, Arizona; Bridgett (Chester) Shepherd of Hillman; sister-in-law, Susan Peltier; and numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Freida Peltier; brother, Richard; sister, Kay Schmunk; and nephew, Tommy Duncan.
Funeral services for Mr. Peltier will take place at 11:00AM on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Green Funeral Home; Atlanta; Pastor Larry Kirby officiating. Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home and again on Monday from 10:00AM until time of service. Interment will follow at Briley Township Cemetery. Memorials have been suggested to Hospice of Michigan, Alpena.
