Henry Weingarten Jr

Henry Theodore Weingarten Jr Mr. Henry Theodore Weingarten Jr, 69 of Hillman, MI went home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2012 at Alpena Regional Medical Center after a short illness. He was born on May 22, 1942 to Henry and Mamie (Gismondi) Weingarten in Hazel Park, MI. He moved to Hillman in 1998, formerly of Warren. He worked as a machinist for General Dynamics for over ten years, and was the chief of police in Rio Hondo, TX for six years. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was an unselfish man and would constantly care for others. Above all, he enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He is survived by daughter, Melissa Nicholas of Ontario, Canada; son, Shane Weingarten of Harlingen, TX; two grandchildren, Jimmie and Chloe; brother, Robert (Lucinda) Weingarten of TN; and sister, Julie Swiekowski of TX. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services for Mr. Weingarten planned at this time.
