Henry Holznagle

Henry "Bob" Robert Holznagle Mr. Henry "Bob" Robert Holznagle, 82 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on July 18, 2015 at Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord. He was born to the late, Frank and Florence (Moreton) Holznagle II on October 11, 1932 in Highland Park, Michigan. He served his country in the United States Army while stationed in Germany. He married wife, Margie (Bowling) Holznagle on April 9, 1953 in Highland Park and together the couple celebrated 62 years of marriage before his passing. He worked as an engineer in the tech center for Ford Motor Company and retired after 32 years. Henry has lived in Lewiston for the past 29 years, formerly of Westland. He was a member of the NRA as an avid gun collector, and past member of the Grayling Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed a number of hobbies including; trap and skeet shooting, collecting antique bikes, and hunting deer and turkey. Above everything, he enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Margie Holznagle of Lewiston; daughters, Christie (David) Gincott-Travis of Burton; Janet (Greg) Bosell of Westland; sons, Russell (Susan) Holznagle of Plymouth; Brian (Tatia) Holznagle of Waterford; grandchildren, Heather, Haley, TJ, Robert, Gregory, Kyle, and Erika; sister, Jean Canham of North Carolina; and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Florence Holznagle; and brother, Frank Holznagle III. Funeral services for Mr. Holznagle will take place at 11:00AM on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church; Lewiston; Pastor Steven Thiel officiating. Visitation will take place on Monday, July 20, 2015 at Green Funeral Home from 4:00PM until 8:00PM and again on Tuesday from 10:00AM until time of service at the church. Private interment will take place on Wednesday at the Cadillac West Memorial Gardens; Westland. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church or to the American Cancer Society.
