Helen Virginia Dodd Mrs. Helen Virginia Dodd, 76, of Hillman, passed away on March 25, 2014 at her residence. She was born on May 6, 1937 to Oscar and MaryLee (Frix) Jackson in Social Circle, GA. She has lived the past 15 years in Hillman, formerly of Detroit, MI. She was a member of New Beginnings Ministries and was a life member of VFW Post 2356 Ladies Auxiliary in Hillman. She liked to fish and enjoyed growing her tomatoes and hot peppers in her hanging baskets. Above all else she loved spending time with family, especially to spoil her nieces and nephews. Helen is survived by her sisters, Hilda Coombs of Hillman, MI, Marcella Burgos of Detroit, MI, Brenda (David) Cancel of Detroit, MI, Delores Kiracofe of Taylor, MI, and Linda (Bob) Rountree of Perrysburg, OH; brothers, Fred (Barb) Jackson and Ron (Nancy) Jackson both of Hillman, and Sherman (Patricia) Jackson of Lincoln Park, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Dodd will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at the New Beginnings Church at 1:00 PM, Pastor Jerry Hoffman officiating. Visitation hours will be held on Saturday from 11:00AM until time of service.
