Helen B. Davis Helen B Davis 97, of Atlanta passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at Greenville Adult Foster Care Home in Atlanta. Helen was born October 30, 1909 in Genesee Township, MI the daughter of John and Clara (Ormston) Kelley. She married Mervin Davis November 3, 1939 in Flint, MI, Helen and Merv purchased the Wedge Inn and moved to Atlanta in 1945. They operated the Wedge until 1954 when they opened Davis Appliance in Atlanta. Helen was an active member of the Atlanta Congregational Church, Atlanta Chapter #487 Order of Eastern Star. Helen enjoyed, sewing making many of her children's clothes and knitting. Helen is survived by sons Dennis (Jan) Davis of Atlanta, Charles (Barbara) McBride of Riverside, CA, daughter Karen (Leroy) Friday of Corunna, MI, daughter in law Lynn McBride of Irving, TX, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and one great great grandson, and brother Don (Virginia) Kelley of Vanderbilt, MI. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Mervin, son Delmar McBride, brothers Ernie and John Kelley, and sisters Emma Zaferatos, Norma James, Margie Cox-Nyberg and Pauline and Dorothy Kelley Memorial services will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM from the Green Funeral Home Atlanta Rev Dr. H Robert Case officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Memorials are suggested to the Atlanta Congregational Church Memorial Fund.
