Hazel Blackmore

Hazel Lozellen Blackmore Mrs. Hazel Lozellen Blackmore, 86, of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully on December 17, 2018 at her daughter's home in Lewiston. She was born on September 1, 1932 in Plymouth, Michigan to the late, James and Nellie (Link) Darnell. She married her husband, Dale Blackmore on October 25, 1952 and together the couple celebrated 66 years of marriage before her passing. Formerly of Plymouth, the couple moved to Lewiston in 1982. While living in Plymouth, Hazel worked in accounts payable at Burrough's. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Atlanta and enjoyed a variety of hobbies. She liked to Facebook with family and friends, play Euchre, and she was an avid reader. She used to play golf, and played up until she couldn't anymore. Hazel's family and grandchildren were important to her and she valued the time spent with them. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Blackmore of Lewiston; son, Kevin (Tina) Blackmore of Dearborn; daughter, Becky Wilkes of Lewiston; and grandchildren, Kyle, Courtney, Marisa, Austin, and Samantha. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Nellie Darnell; and brother, Robyn Blackmore. As were her wishes cremation has taken place and the family has chosen to remember Hazel privately.
