Mr. Harvey "Bill" Clifford Morrison, age 94 of Hillman died Wednesday July 1, 2020 surrounded by his family at Hillman's Haven. He is survived by his children, Susan (David) Smethurst, David Morrison, Rhonda (Jim) Brown, Doug Morrison, and Beth (Charles Gutierrez) Morrison; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren (with one more on the way), and sisters, Maxine (Dan) Burdick, and Margaret Murphy. He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Marjorie Morrison; his parents, Max and Mildred Morrison; sisters, Beverly Visingardi and Lucille Otter, and his grandson, Neil Morrison. Bill was a proud veteran of World War II and The Korean War. He was the founder and longtime owner of Morrison's Market in Hillman, a community he loved.
A memorial service will be held in celebration of Bill's life at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the Hillman United Methodist Church, Pastor Duane Lindsey officiating. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Green Funeral Home, Hillman from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Saturday morning at the church from 10:00 AM until time of service. There is limited space at the church and masks are required. The service can be watched online at www.facebook.com/groups/HillmanUMC. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you send donations to the Salvation Army - Alpena Corps or the Hillman United Methodist Church.
