Harvey Andrew LaBell Sr. Harvey Andrew LaBell Sr, 91, of Atlanta, MI passed away at MediLodge in Hillman on March 20, 2012. He was born on March 20, 1921 in Trenton, MI to Louis and Magdelina (Camine) LaBell. Harvey grew up and lived in Trenton, MI for most of his life. He married the former Margeret Leek in Florida in 1940. He worked for Pennwalt Corporation in Wyandotte, MI, as a rigger and crane operator, until his retirement to the Atlanta Area in 1975. Harvey was a member of the Crazy 8 Hunt Club located in Atlanta for many years. He loved to talk about hunting, fishing and sports. "Grumpy" would be seen all over the county on his daily and nightly "deer" rides. He loved to stop on the side of a road to talk to neighbors and friends, and he might have even been seen dropping off eggs, potatoes or fresh fruit from somewhere. Harvey is survived by sons, Harvey Jr (Janice) of Rockwood, MI, and Paul, Mark (DeAnne), and Jim (Julie) all of Trenton, MI; daughter, Mary (Pete) Dubiel of Trenton; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and even a few "adopted" grandkids from the area. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret "Peg", son Gregory, and daughter Andrea. Funeral services for Mr. LaBell will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI; Pastor Roger Steele officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Briley Twp Cemetery. Memorials have been suggested to MediLodge of Hillman.
